You Are Not a Mistake
As mentioned previously, everyone has two purposes. The Primary Purpose and the Secondary Purpose. The Primary Purpose deals with our relationship to God and the Secondary Purpose deals with our relationship with man and how we serve our fellow man.
Our purpose begins with Him because He created us and has a specific plan for our lives. I am reminded of a story in the bible where God called a young man to prophesy to the nation of Israel even though this young man felt inadequate to do so because of his age. This young man was questioning His purpose because of how he felt. This is what God said to Jeremiah,
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
(Jeremiah 1:5)
You and I were already alive and well before we were born on this earth. God knew every detail of how we would look, who our ancestors would be, and our character and personality. He knows everything about us because He saw us AND knew us before we came to be.
Not only did God see and know us before we were a blip on the radar, but He had a specific appointment, or purpose, for us to fulfill.

DNA
Dr. Charles Lindman of Oakland University says that there are between 180 to 400 million human sperm that are ejaculated in a single moment, however, only one of those sperm out of the millions formed you.
The specific DNA and chromosomes that make you the person you are were all fashioned and formed by the Almighty God. Not only did He create the DNA, the sperm, the egg, and everything else we can see and don’t see, He is the one that caused that specific sperm to meet the egg in your mother’s womb. To me that is a phenomenal miracle in itself!
The God of the universe wanted you to be born. He created and fashioned you for this specific era for a specific purpose. God does not make mistakes. Nothing was by chance or in error. You are not a mistake. Nor were you created by chance or in error.
No matter how you got here on this earth or how messed up your parents may be, you are here because God wanted you here. That is why abortion is so horrific to God. You were created by God for a purpose. I want to leave you today with the words of David in Psalm 139:13-16 (ESV)
For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you,
when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book were written, every one of them,
the days that were formed for me,
when as yet there was none of them.
How does it feel to know that you were not a mistake and that God purposed you to be here? Please comment below.
