ABOUT THE BLOG
I created Bountiful Journey as a means to accept and follow the call of God for me to write. It is where I will share about my journey into writing(creatively and professionally), living my faith as a Christian, and whatever else the Lord calls me to write…the struggles and the joys.
This blog is also a way for me to encourage the Christian believer on their journey to follow God’s call on their life and deepen their walk with God s they read about my journey. The thing God is calling you to do will not always be easy but will be worth it as you take that step into the unknown and follow His lead.
At the helm, this blog is about understanding your identity in Christ and discovering the God given purpose He’s placed on your life.
There will be journal type entries, tips, and resources that will help you on your journey of accepting God’s call on your life. This blog is also a platform for my upcoming book Finding Your Purpose in Christ (though the title is not set in stone). I have blogged portions of my book which means that some posts will be an entry in the book. I would love to have you journey with me as I write about this subject.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Hello friend and welcome to my blog! My name is Keisha Hunter. My husband, Stephen, and I have ministered together all of our married life since 2006. He being the Senior Pastor of our small liturgical congregation and me being the worship and women’s ministry leader.
I am the mother of two wonderful boys and one who is with the Lord due to a miscarriage. They are the apples of my eyes and I am so grateful for them because pregnancy was not kind to me. I had HELLP Syndrome with my oldest where we both almost died and I had pre-eclampsia with my youngest son. They are truly my miracle babies and I am so grateful they are here.
I have been a teacher in a few local Christian schools but recently the Lord called me out to write. I enjoy teaching and seeing the light bulb go off as my students learn and grasp a concept. I especially enjoy teaching the word of God. It is my passion and part of my purpose.
From the moment I was a freshman in college I was called to minister and communicate God’s message to the family of God, those believing in Jesus Christ. It started with me leading worship for my campus ministry, then teaching in Christian schools, to leading women’s bible studies at my church where my husband is the Senior Pastor. In more recent years, God has called me to write as another avenue to minister to His family.
I love to create things and be in nature. I especially love being near the water and hearing the gurgling sounds it produces. It is really soothing to my soul. I love dancing, I enjoy family time, and hanging out with my dearest friends.
Thank you for being here! I hope you stay awhile and get to know me more through my writing. I pray you will be blessed by it as we go on this journey together.
